Marcia Potter is a senior associate for SynTact Solutions,Inc.  where she has worked since 1990. Her extensive organizational development experience in general business and healthcare includes:

  • Providing consultation to organizations as they implement transformational strategies, start-ups, mergers, strategic alliances.
  • Facilitating accreditation, licensing, and certification initiatives for programs and facilities; interim internal leadership and executive roles.
  • Guiding general business and healthcare initiatives that incubate new models of service requiring regulatory approvals, licensure, accreditation.
  • Establishing organizational values and culture to support diverse and thriving communities.
  • Interim and contracted leadership assignments.

Marcia is a Registered Nurse and earned her Master of Arts in business and policy, with focus on healthcare policy at the State University of New York, Empire State College. She was recognized as a Who’s Who Among Students In Colleges and Universities, 1987-88; was a visiting research scholar in 2005 at Canterbury Cathedral Library Archives, England conducting field study on “The Role of the Military Chaplain in WWI.”  Her research examined how the crisis of war brought about the cross-skilling of chaplains adapting to clinical protocols and for surgeons adapting to the practice of spiritual care during the most extreme conditions of war.  Her field study contributed to her master’s project resulting in a framework for “The Role of Health Ministry in the Global Healthcare Arena.”  Marcia leads inter-agency performance improvement teams, designs, implements and coaches survey readiness teams supporting Joint Commission and NCQA initial and renewal surveys.  Marcia is a frequent public speaker and panelist. She served for 14 years as a Board Trustee for Trinity Care Hospice, a business unit and ministry for Providence Health Services.
